Silver is an Appaloosa horse, a species of high speed and endurance.
In the first-release canon, he is a rodeo horse in Oregon, USA, and has very fast reactions when it comes to roping in calves. His species was breeded to great excellence by an Indian tribe with nary an idea how breeding worked, and who got the horses in the first place by bartering.
In the restructuring canon, he is a rather calm little Filly, who loves to relax a lot and spends most of his day at the lake.
